Conclusion: Die Gerichte für diesen Lunch waren allesamt aus der Mittagskarte ausgewählt. Sie haben für mich die volle Zwei-Sterne-Performance abgeliefert. Bisweilen recht kräftige Säuren und auch eine angenehme Salzigkeit kennzeichneten die Kreationen. Kreative Verwandlungen klassischer Kombinationen und komplett eigenständige Kreationen konnten wir genießen. Nicht nur, da mittags die Konkurrenz in Berlin nicht mehr sehr groß ist, sondern auch auf Basis der gebotenen Qualität ist ein Lunch im Facil bei einem Berlin-Besuch erste Wahl. Read more...

Conclusion: Die Küche von Michael Kempf ist nicht leicht auf einen Punkt zu bringen, weil alles in gewisser Weise die goldene Mitte trifft. Die Gerichte sind komplex, aber nicht überkomplex. Sie sind harmonisch, aber es gibt auch Kontraste, sie sind fein abgestimmt, aber nicht filigran, haben Ausdruckskraft, sind aber nicht forciert. Die Kombinationen sind außergewöhnlich, aber nicht experimentell. Was dann schnell Gefahr läuft, ins gefällige Mittelmaß abzurutschen passiert hier nicht. Alles wirkt stimmig und macht Lust auf Genuss. Das Facil ist einfach ein sehr schönes Restaurant, das gerade zum Lunch eine schöne Atmosphäre bietet, egal ob man aus der Mittags- oder der Abendkarte wählt. Read more...

Conclusion: Das Facil ist eine feste Größe in der Berliner Spitzen-Gastronomie und bietet ein willkommenes feines Kontrastprogramm zu den „jungen Wilden“ in der Szene, die immer auch etwas angestrengt Missionarisches haben. Das ist Michael Kempf absolut fremd, da es ihm ausschließlich um „casual fine dining“ im besten Sinne des Wortes geht, und das ist ohne wenn und aber zwei Sterne wert. Read more...

Conclusion: Das war für mich ein tolles Mittagessen mit zugänglichen Geschmacksbildern und tollen Produkten (Wagyu-Rind, Lachs). Mein einziger Kritikpunkt wäre, dass die beiden Hauptgänge und die beiden Desserts etwas repetitiv im Geschmack waren aber das liegt wohl auch daran, dass die Mittagskarte nicht auf eine Bestellung mehrerer Hauptgänge und Desserts abzielt. Conclusion: Ob die Gerichte etwas einfacher und weniger komplex konzipiert sind wie im großen Degustationsmenü, können wir nicht beurteilen. An diesem Donnerstag ist das Haus sehr gut besucht und, soweit ich das beurteilen kann, wurde an allen Tischen aus dem Lunch-Angebot gewählt. Die Desserts lassen aber erahnen, dass hier am Abend womöglich noch etwas filigraner gearbeitet wird. Aber auch so ist das Niveau, vor allem angesichts des aufgerufenen Preises, ganz erstaunlich und dieser Lunch sicherlich eine der angenehmsten und stilvollsten Möglichkeiten, in der Hauptstadt den Mittag zu verbringen. Conclusion: Ich habe das Gefühl – ich sage das jetzt ganz ungeschützt – er steckt in einer kreativen Versuchsphase, der ein wenig die Richtung fehlt. Vielleicht hat er sich ein wenig müde gekocht und bräuchte eine ganz neue Herausforderung, ein eigenes Lokal etwa. Read more...

Positive: Ein wunderbares Mittagsmenu. Alles passte. Kalbskopf mit Berglinsen. Bisonbacke. Ein leichtes intensives asiatisches Fruchtdessert. Ein zweiter Michelin-Stern ist realistisch. Sehr schöne offene Weine. Ein tolles Ambiente. Netter Service (nicht so gestelzt wie bei Fischers Fritz).
