On the road: Once across the USA

Today we are focussing on the four most important wine regions in the USA: Oregon, New York, Washington and California. In just a few decades, California has succeeded in producing wines that are among the best in the world. While most people think of heat and sun when they think of California, it is precisely the freshness that gives the wines structure. The menu will be accompanied by wines from the following wineries: Château Ste. Michelle / Washington, Charles Smith / Washington, Jay Christopher / Oregon, Domaine Drouhin / Oregon, Scharffenberger / California, Tablas Creek / California, Hermann J. Wiemer / New York, Forge Cellars / New York. This will be accompanied by a menu of fine local specialities to match the wines, e.g. Maine Lobster & US Black Angus.
