Restaurant Sandbank Lounge opens in Warnemünde

Bastian Opitz has set up his own business.

ROSTOCK-WARNEMÜNDE. Bastian Opitz, former head chef at Gourmet Restaurant 1751 in Schwerin, has been running his own casual fine dining restaurant, Sandbank Lounge, since mid-March. He offers a selection of classic dishes, such as matjes, veal tartare or salmon trout with asparagus, potatoes and hollandaise or corn-fed chicken with celeriac cream and port wine onions. Bastian Opitz explains his guiding principle in the kitchen: the perfectly prepared product should take centre stage.
