Best restaurant in Portugal: Ocean
The Ocean restaurant is the best restaurant in Portugal in 2024. This was revealed by Restaurant-Ranglisten.de's analysis of the current ratings of the country's most important restaurant guides. The restaurant in Porches with Austrian chef Hans Neuner last held the top spot in 2022.
The Yeatman in Vila Nova de Gaia improved to second place, having achieved fifth place last year. With a gain of 18.5 ranking points, it is also the newcomer of the year. The Belcanto in Lisbon improved from fourth to third place. It shares this place with last year's frontrunner, the Vila Joya in Guia.
Only one restaurant is new in the top 10: Antiqvvm in Porto. It improves from 20th to ninth place.
The best newcomer to the rankings is Ó Balcao in Sentarém, which immediately secured 23rd place in the ranking.
The restaurant ranking for Portugal takes 39 restaurants into account. The ratings in the Michelin Guide and in the La Liste and Elite Traveller rankings are taken into account.
