L'Enclume defends top position
The restaurant L'Enclume has defended its top position in the restaurant rankings for the UK for the third year in a row. CORE by Clare Smyth in London remains in second place. Third place is shared by two restaurants: Hélène Darroze in London, which was in fifth place last year, and The Fat Duck in Bray, which was in fourth place last year. This was revealed by Restaurant-Ranglisten.de's analysis of the current ratings of the most important restaurant guides for the UK.
There are three new restaurants in the top 10: Alain Ducasse's London restaurant and the Waterside Inn in Bray have moved up from eleventh to fifth place. After a four-year hiatus, The Ledbury also returns to the top 10 in tenth place.
The best newcomer to the UK ranking is the Edinbane Lodge restaurant in Edinbane, which achieved 53 points at its first attempt and thus 40th place. The newcomer of the year is Lake Road Kitchen in Ambleside, which has improved its ranking by 34 points, moving up from 203rd to 59th place.
The ranking includes a total of 328 restaurants, the ratings in the Michelin Guide, as well as in the AA, Good Food, La Liste, Elite Traveller, Best Chef Award and The World's 50 Best Restaurants lists and guides. Details can be found here.
