On 26 March, the MICHELIN Guide Germany awarded the prestigious stars to the best restaurants. The "Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant", located in the lighthouse of the 4-star superior hotel "Bell Rock" at the Europa-Park adventure resort, was honoured with two Michelin stars for the 10th time in a row. That means: top cuisine - worth a diversion! Head chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team were once again able to prove the high standard of their versatile and inspired cuisine. The Ammolite is therefore one of the 50 best 2-star restaurants and can continue to count itself among Germany's top gastronomic scene.</p

Peter Hagen-Wiest focuses on classic French cuisine with a varied interpretation and first-class flavours. The connection to the region and his own roots plays a major role. He incorporates various influences, for example from Portugal or Asia, into the different menu compositions in a multi-faceted way. Creative sophistication and attention to detail are clearly in the foreground. However, the focus always remains on flavour, the character of the original product and the balance of the dish - the principle of "less is more" applies. Fresh, seasonal produce from his own organic farm as well as meat and fish with a quality label are an integral part of his philosophy and recipe for success.</p

The gourmet guide describes: "While you sit on elegant velvet armchairs at tables laid with high-quality tablecloths and are looked after attentively and competently by a well-coordinated service team, chef Peter Hagen-Wiest presents the two 7-course menus "Around the World" and "Green Forest" (vegetarian). "Pigeon, raspberry, beetroot, Albufera sauce" or "aubergine, celery, pak choi", for example. He cooks with a classic base and modern inspiration, his dishes are clear and well-structured, with carefully selected products. The wines are excellently matched and presented in a very professional manner."</p

With the Michelin Guide award, chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team have once again proven the consistency of their outstanding gastronomic standard over more than ten years. The "Green Forest" menu focuses on vegetarian products, skilfully combined - for example, Hagen-Wiest skilfully presents sweet potato with goat's cheese and onion vinaigrette. The "Around The World" menu is a seven-course culinary journey around the world: Gourmets can look forward to sole with cauliflower and nut butter, for example.</p

"Thank you very much for this fantastic award - and for the tenth time already! The confirmation from the MICHELIN Guide is very high praise for our team and also an incentive to continue offering our guests an unforgettable culinary experience," says Peter Hagen-Wiest.

<p

Thomas Mack, Managing Partner of Europa-Park and, among other things, responsible for the gastronomy of the adventure resort, is also delighted with the team about the renewed honour: "We could never have dreamed of this at the opening of 'Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant' - thank you very much for two Michelin stars for the tenth time in a row! My special thanks of course go to the entire team around Peter Hagen-Wiest. With its unique concept at a consistently high level, the restaurant stands for exquisite cuisine far beyond the region's borders."</p

In addition to the excellent cuisine, the exquisite wine cellar, stocked with regional, national and international greats, is also worth a trip to Rust. Guests' individual wishes and preferences are always taken into account by the sommelier's wine recommendations. The elegant interior with subtle lighting emphasises the experience with a unique room atmosphere - a place for special occasions and guests who appreciate an extraordinary sensory experience in an exclusive setting. "The ambience here is timelessly chic and elegant, with slightly transparent curtains in a warm gold tone giving the round room an intimate touch and conveying a sense of calm," says the MICHELIN Guide. The Ammolite is a beacon of taste!

"In terms of meat quality, there are perhaps 1-2 places in the world that I found even more impressive, but in terms of experience, this was perhaps the most impressive steak meal I've ever had."
