Ritzi in Stuttgart is insolvent

Stuttgart

Gourmet restaurant has already closed, the brasserie is still open

STUTTGART: The Ritzi, which includes the gourmet restaurant that was once again awarded a star last Tuesday, has had to file for insolvency. The gourmet restaurant has already closed, but the brasserie will remain open for the time being. Ritzi has not yet announced on its social media channels when the restaurant will have to close for good.</p

<p>According to reports in Stuttgart's local newspapers, the reason for the closure is the exit of the investor, rising rents, water damage and difficulties in finding staff, as well as the health problems of head chef Ben Benasr. He has worked at the restaurant since 2018. The Ritzi was given its current name and concept in 2020. The gourmet restaurant was awarded one star from 2022 to 2024.</p
