The Essigbrätlein restaurant run by chef Yves Ollech and mastermind Andree Köthe is no stiff gourmet temple. Rather simple tables and benches, wood-paneled walls, dim lighting and somewhat limited space to the neighboring table. The spoiled gourmet is happy to accept all this once they have tasted their first plates from what is probably the smallest kitchen in a Top 35 restaurant. The exceptional spice and herb cuisine is known for having developed gourmandize internationally. The cookbook The Art of Seasoning is a testament to this.
