The best restaurants in Hamburg
The Table, Hamburg (Germany)
Star chef Kevin Fehling's restaurant The Table is located in the heart of Hamburg's Hafen-City. The concept: a single, curved counter for all guests. It is designed in such a way that guests can enjoy their meal undisturbed in pairs or fours, but can also strike up a conversation with the people sitting next to them if they feel like it. From the table, guests have an unobstructed view of the open kitchen, where work is carried out almost silently. It is particularly easy to watch the team preparing the dishes. The menu on offer is absolutely top class and many dishes could hardly be bettered. They are prepared with great precision and evoke great emotions of pleasure. Sommelier and maître David Eitel has been there since the Travemünde days and looks after the guests. His wine pairings are always well matched to Kevin Fehling's dishes - the team works like clockwork. A fixed menu is offered, consisting of seven larger courses and about as many small snacks.
