The best restaurants in Hamburg

Haerlin, Hamburg (Germany) 5

The Haerlin restaurant in the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg is one of the leading gourmet temples in Germany thanks to chef Christoph Rüffer. Numerous works of art have been used to create a link to the Vier Jahreszeiten, providing an elegant setting. During your meal, you can enjoy the incomparable view of the Inner Alster - making your visit a very special experience.

The Table, Hamburg (Germany) 5

Star chef Kevin Fehling's restaurant The Table is located in the heart of Hamburg's Hafen-City. The concept: a single, curved counter for all guests. It is designed in such a way that guests can enjoy their meal undisturbed in pairs or fours, but can also strike up a conversation with the people sitting next to them if they feel like it. From the table, guests have an unobstructed view of the open kitchen, where work is carried out almost silently. It is particularly easy to watch the team preparing the dishes. The menu on offer is absolutely top class and many dishes could hardly be bettered. They are prepared with great precision and evoke great emotions of pleasure. Sommelier and maître David Eitel has been there since the Travemünde days and looks after the guests. His wine pairings are always well matched to Kevin Fehling's dishes - the team works like clockwork. A fixed menu is offered, consisting of seven larger courses and about as many small snacks.

bianc, Hamburg (Germany) 4

Refined creativity, high-quality ingredients and clear flavors are the basis for culinary compositions that you will not soon forget. His kitchen is a silent orchestra in which each instrument contributes an important part to the gastronomic experience. Dream, dream, dream, but always with your eyes open! This is precisely Matteo Ferrantino's philosophy and what has distinguished him throughout his career.

100/200 Kitchen, Hamburg (Germany) 4

In this unique place, you will quickly sense that little is “normal” here. Sophie Lehmann and Thomas Imbusch are passionate hosts and live gastronomy and entrepreneurship with every fiber of their being. Unforgettable quality and gustatory harmony are the luxury of the 100/200 & Restaurant GLORIE. This makes it a place that celebrates good days and is a comforting refuge on bad ones. Sophie Lehmann and Thomas Imbusch have also been producing their own podcast since April 2021.

Lakeside, Hamburg (Germany) 4

High above the Alster, flooded with light and with a spectacular panoramic view over Hamburg on the 7th floor. The creations are delicious, but also unconventional, bold and unexpected in their combinations. Discover the lightness and originality of chef Julian Stowasser's dishes, as well as their rich flavors and complexity. A large mirrored wall brings the light from outside inside into the light and airy atmosphere of Lakeside. The clarity of the room forms the passe-partout for the intense creations of the kitchen team.

Zeik, Hamburg (Germany) 3

At home in Hamburg, at home in the world. This is the solution with which the ZEIK restaurant does its best. After all, upscale cuisine can be enjoyed in many spectacular places in Hamburg - unagitated fine dining in Winterhude, on the other hand, is more of a culinary pearl that gourmets want to seek out and find. This hearty food spot close to the Outer Alster has been awarded one star by the Michelin Guide.

Landhaus Scherrer, Hamburg (Germany) 3

Landhaus Scherrer has been a culinary institution in Hamburg for over 40 years, but the gastronomic history of Landhaus Scherrer goes back as far as 1840. Back then, the tavern was a popular stop for carters. In 1976, Armin and Emmi Scherrer opened the Landhaus Scherrer, which quickly established itself as one of Hamburg's top addresses. You immediately feel at home in the cozy rooms. The flexible layout of the rooms makes the restaurant suitable for smaller and larger groups. Wehmann's cuisine is not experimental, but it meets the highest quality standards. If a modern preparation method fulfills this requirement for him, then a modern dish can certainly be on the menu. The service team led by Annegret Seeger serves Wehmann's North German cuisine in the form of two menus with a choice of four to six courses.

Piment, Hamburg (Germany) 4

The Piment is a small restaurant in Hamburg's beautiful Eppendorf district and offers space for 26 people and a pleasant, intimate atmosphere. It impresses with its warm tones, which invite you to relax. It is complemented by a well-preserved stucco ceiling, which was rediscovered during renovation work. French meets Moroccan. Nouri creates intense flavor experiences with typical spices such as cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, mace, rosebuds and lavender blossoms and seduces the senses with culinary correspondence between Orient and Oxident.

Jellyfish, Hamburg (Germany) 3

The Restaurant Jellyfish stands for first-class fish cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Stefan Fäth, head chef and owner, and his team only use fish caught in the wild and sustainably and regionally farmed. Sustainability is a top priority, as is the use of seasonal and regional products.
