The Michelin Guide has published restaurant ratings for more and more countries, cities and regions around the world. The total number of Michelin-starred restaurants has been growing steadily since 2016, reaching a high of 3,589 in 2024. The number of three-star restaurants has been growing steadily since 2020, reaching a high of 146 in the 2024 editions. The number of two-star restaurants fell from a high of 493 in the previous year to 489 in 2024. The number of one-star restaurants has been rising steadily since 2015. It will reach a high of 2,954 in 2024.
