Since 2016, the total number of starred restaurants has been growing steadily, reaching a peak of 3,932 in 2025. The number of three-star restaurants has been rising steadily since 2020, reaching a peak of 162 in the 2025 edition. The number of two-star restaurants will rise to a new high of 547 in 2024. The number of one-star restaurants has been rising steadily since 2015. It will reach a peak of 3,223 in the 2025 edition.
