Der Boa Cama Boa Mesa
The Boa Cama Boa Mesa is an annual restaurant and hotel guide published by the Portuguese weekly magazine Expresso. Since its launch in 2003, it has been recognised as one of the most authoritative quality guides for restaurants and hotels in Portugal. The guide is published both in print and digitally and offers a carefully curated selection of the country's best restaurants and hotels - from traditional country inns to avant-garde fine dining addresses.
The rating system
The awards are divided into two categories:
- Boa Mesa (Good Table) - for restaurants
- Boa Cama (Good Bed) - for hotels
Three levels are awarded within these categories:
- Platinum Fork / Key - highest award
- Gold Fork / Key
- Silver Fork / Key
The guide also awards special prizes to recognise special achievements and innovations.
