New restaurant manager at Tohru in the Schreiberei
MUNICH. Bernd Großschädl is the new restaurant manager at the three-star restaurant Tohru in the Schreiberei. Following the summer break, he has taken over from Alexander Will, who was responsible for front-of-house operations for the past two and a half years and, amongst other things, helped the team secure the restaurant’s third star.
Bernd Großschädl grew up in a small village near Fürstenfeld in Styria. His parents run a pub themselves, so he came into contact with the hospitality industry at an early age. Now aged 30, he graduated from the hotel management school in Bad Gleichenberg. In Munich, he worked at the Grapes wine bar for five years, spending most of that time as its manager. He was also part of the service team at The Cloud at Käfer. As he said in an Instagram video, after moving to Munich, a visit to Tohru Nakamura’s restaurant was his first fine-dining experience in the city. He now aims to look after guests with plenty of Austrian charm.
