Alois Neuschmid wants to take some time out

ROTTACH-EGERN. The Michelin-starred restaurant Haubentaucher will only remain open until the end of October. The owner, Alois Neuschmid, explained this to the *Münchener Abendzeitung*: “I’m taking a break and some time out. As people would say these days: a sabbatical,” he told the paper. It remains to be seen how long the break will last. The reasons for the time out are “largely personal”. The restaurant business had been profitable, he said, but the personal commitment required had been considerable. Discussions are taking place regarding the restaurant’s future, but nothing has been finalised yet, Neuschmid told the newspaper.
