100/200 Kitchen, Hamburg
Our forum contributor QWERTZ writes: “For me, ‘The Season’ is the most exciting and interesting time of year at the 100/200. It showcases vegetarian cuisine that leaves nothing to be desired. It’s rare to find such a wealth of flavour in meat-free dishes. In my view, this time they’ve managed to create a better flow through the menu than in the two previous ones. Here, too, the meal progresses at a relatively high level of intensity from the second course onwards. But there are elements that set the dishes more clearly apart from one another. It’s often considered high praise when someone says of a vegetarian menu, ‘I didn’t miss the fish and meat’. Here, however, I can say that I didn’t even notice there was no fish or meat. The sauces were rich and full of character, and there were also elements to chew on and savour. The non-alcoholic drinks thoroughly impressed me. I do miss the slight buzz that usually builds up over the course of the evening, mind you. But in terms of flavour, the first few combinations in particular were very harmonious. I recently noticed, whilst trying another non-alcoholic pairing, just how sensitive these drinks are to temperature and how their flavour changes as a result. At the 100/200, the drinks are much more stable in this respect – though care is taken to ensure this: some of the drinks are served in a well-chilled silver cup that maintains the temperature. For me, at any rate, the non-alcoholic pairing at the 100/200 is one of the strongest I’ve come across so far. The 100/200 is therefore ideal during the vegetarian season, not just for fans of plant-based cuisine, but truly for anyone who wants to enjoy rich, intense dishes." (Published in August 2026)
