Restaurant review

L'Amitié, Antwerp

Belgium, Antwerpen, Forum

"The descriptions on the menu [...] sometimes sound more daring and exciting than the dishes actually manage to live up to."

“Sharing concepts promise hassle-free enjoyment, and this place is no exception. Admittedly, the descriptions on the menu sometimes sound more daring and exciting than the dishes actually manage to live up to. But we enjoyed everything we tasted, and the kitchen didn’t let up on quality either. The 13 points awarded by Gault Millau are entirely justified. The young, attentive service also played a big part in making us feel at home. When it comes to creativity, the ‘Henne.Weinbar’ in Cologne remains our benchmark for this sort of concept. It’s also considerably cheaper there, especially when it comes to hot dishes. But if we lived in Antwerp, we might well be seen here more often. If only there weren’t so many other options.” (Published in April 2026)
