HEIDELBERG. Berlin-based two-Michelin-star chef Tim Raue is set to launch a new chapter in the successful ‘Stories’ pop-up concept in collaboration with the restaurateurs of the Heidelberg-based Bliss Group. Under the title “Taste of the Dragon”, a special menu will be on offer at a special venue from February to April next year.

Together with the creative Bliss kitchen team led by Sven Günther, Tim Raue will take guests on a culinary journey through the world of Chinese cuisine. From the modern cuisine of Singapore to classic Hong Kong, the traditional alleyways of Beijing, the spiciness of Sichuan and the tropical fruits of Hainan – Chinese cuisine embodies a culture dating back millennia, combining fascinating tradition with inspiring modernity.

Two-Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue, with his passion for Chinese cuisine, has shaped this unique five-course menu and transports guests to a different region with every course. He says: “The people of Heidelberg and the surrounding region are keen on food and have considerable economic clout. We’ve been there several times over the past few years for catering events and have always met wonderful guests. That was the deciding factor in accepting the Bliss team’s invitation to create a culinary journey through Chinese cuisine for the upcoming pop-up.”

Bliss founder Sven Günther comments: “With the eighth instalment of our ‘Stories’ pop-up concept and our brilliant partner Tim Raue, we don’t just want to open a new chapter. We want to make history in the minds of our guests.”

From 1 February to 30 April 2027, “Taste of the Dragon” will be open to guests but can also be booked exclusively for groups. The former US Armed Forces supermarket warehouse (Commissary) in Heidelberg’s Patrick-Henry-Village (PHV), which is currently hosting the Metropolink graffiti and street art festival, will serve as the backdrop when the Bliss Group and Tim Raue launch “Pop-up Stories VIII – Taste of the Dragon”. Reservations can now be made and further information viewed at stories-popup-kitchen.de.
