New podcast by and featuring Felicitas Then

Food expert Felicitas Then is constantly on the move – from street food markets in Asia to natural wine bars in Europe and the world’s hottest new restaurant openings. Having travelled to more than 60 countries, she is now asking herself one question: which food trends are really here to stay – and which ones can be binned straight away? In her new podcast ‘Brot & Austern’, she discusses precisely this with the most exciting minds on the gastronomic scene. “My thoughts revolve all day long around the topic of food and the trends behind it. On my travels, I see what’s trendy and what the gastronomic scene might look like tomorrow. I now want to share this knowledge with my listeners and discuss it with my fantastic guests,” says TV chef Felicitas Then.

To kick things off, Then meets DJ Alle Farben. The Berlin-based musician is not only one of Germany’s most successful DJs, but also a passionate amateur cook. Together, they take a look behind the scenes of the festival world and ask themselves: will we soon be eating Michelin-starred cuisine at festivals – or will the currywurst remain the undisputed headliner? With Berlin-based food blogger Sissi Chen, the focus is on perhaps the most exciting culinary development of recent years: new Chinese cuisine. How has a new generation of chefs completely turned our perception of Chinese food on its head? The creative studio Studio Schmaus reveals why catering set-ups often look like art installations these days – and why a few prettily arranged canapés are no longer enough.
