The Ritz-Carlton opens the Secret Champagne Garden
BERLIN. The week in Berlin begins at a place that isn’t easy to find, but rather one you have to discover: with the Secret Champagne Garden , The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin has opened a seasonal summer bar which, as a hidden gem on Potsdamer Platz, offers something new to Berlin’s after-work and events scene. This green oasis on the third floor opens every Monday from 4 pm to 9 pm, weather permitting, and combines an urban backdrop with a pleasantly private atmosphere. The summer venue is run by the team from the renowned The Curtain Club. A curated selection of champagnes, creative signature cocktails and non-alcoholic alternatives is served, accompanied by light dishes to share. On all other days, the approximately 350-square-metre rooftop garden is available exclusively for private parties and business events for up to 40 people.
A green oasis of tranquillity has been created on the hotel’s third floor – right in the heart of the city, yet pleasantly secluded. Lush plants and views of the Tiergarten characterise the setting. The venue takes on a special atmosphere, particularly in the evening, as the light softens and the day slowly gives way to night. The focus is on selected champagnes and seasonally inspired drinks with botanical notes. Classics are deliberately reinterpreted – such as the Sgroppino with fruit sorbet and Prosecco. Non-alcoholic options such as the San Limello Spritz or a Detox Collins round off the menu. There is also a changing selection of small tapas from the hotel kitchen – light, uncomplicated and always including vegetarian options.
The experience is accompanied by relaxed lounge music with urban influences – deliberately without a DJ, to preserve the calm, almost intimate atmosphere. Apart from its Monday openings, the Secret Champagne Garden is available exclusively as an event venue on all other days. Whether it’s a summer party, a birthday, an after-work reception or a networking event – the rooftop garden offers a special setting for small gatherings of up to 40 people.
