Restaurant review
Disfrutar, Barcelona
“Disfrutar was quite an experience. On the one hand, modern Spanish cuisine is presented here with flawless technique and impeccable presentation – without ever losing sight of good taste and palatability. The larger dishes, meanwhile, are hearty, almost rustic. That, too, is part of the tradition of Spanish cuisine. What will stay with me most are the appetisers featuring caviar and the mushroom dishes. I think this clearly illustrates what makes Disfrutar so successful: here, the culinary horizon is broadened both technically and in terms of flavour, yet this is never at the expense of taste and enjoyment. Added to this is a very attentive, courteous and pleasant service that focuses on the guest’s well-being rather than merely staging a ‘performance’ and going through the motions.” (Published in December 2025)

Les Deux Brasserie, Munich
“The dishes are well-balanced and approachable, and deliberately focus on quality and good ingredients rather than grand displays.”
