Heritage has reopened in Hamburg
HAMBURG. After being closed for several months, the HERITAGE Restaurant at Le Méridien has reopened. During the closure, extensive modernisation work took place behind the scenes: the kitchen and technical infrastructure have been completely refurbished and brought up to the latest standards. Guests will still find the familiar atmosphere; the modernisation work was carried out exclusively in the back-of-house areas. To mark the reopening, a ‘Dinner & Dance’ evening was held at HERITAGE on 30 April, which segued directly into the ‘Dance into May’ celebrations. The restaurant has been open as usual since 1 May.
With its reopening, HERITAGE is increasingly targeting a broad audience of Hamburg residents and hotel guests with an expanded programme of events. In addition to the established after-work series “FEIERABEND”, which will take place regularly again in future, numerous other formats are planned. These include themed evenings such as the “White Party Special”, “80’s & 90’s Specials” and seasonal events. A particular highlight is the Cherry Blossom Festival on 29 May with a view of the fireworks.
The restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace on the top floors continue to offer one of the most striking views over the Outer Alster – a central meeting place for Hamburg residents and visitors, particularly during the summer months. Head chef Patrick Weber remains at the helm of HERITAGE and continues to focus on modern, ingredient-driven cuisine with seasonal touches. New menus and dishes accompany the reopening, such as the HERITAGE Tuna Tartare, Kingfish Hamachi, Red Thai Vegetable Curry or Asparagus with new potatoes & miso hollandaise.
“After the past few months, we are delighted to be able to reopen HERITAGE for our guests. The technical upgrades lay the foundations for stable and sustainable operations. At the same time, we are using this fresh start to position the restaurant even more strongly in the Hamburg market with new event formats,” says Till Westheuser, Director of Le Méridien Hamburg.
