Öschberghof has a new owner

Baden-Württemberg

The hotel, which houses the two-star restaurant Ösch Noir, is set to join the Severin*s Hotel & Resorts group

DONAUESCHINGEN. Aldi Süd has sold the Öschberghof. The new owner is the Zech Group. It will thus become part of Severin’s Hotels & Resorts. The Zech Group has announced that the Öschberghof brings one of the most prestigious resort destinations in southern Germany to the brand. “The Öschberghof will retain its values, philosophy and established name, whilst becoming part of a hotel group that stands for individuality, the highest standards of service and a clearly defined understanding of luxury,” the Zech Group states. Michael Artner will therefore continue to manage the Öschberghof and further develop the resort in his role as host within Severin*s Hotels & Resorts.

With 128 rooms and suites, a 45-hole golf course spread across three courses, a 5,500-square-metre spa and fitness area, five restaurants and its own conference centre, the Öschberghof combines golf, wellness, cuisine and business at an exceptional level. Two MICHELIN Keys and the award for “Luxury Golf Resort of the Year 2026” underscore the resort’s high standards. The culinary centrepiece is the fine-dining restaurant ÖSCH NOIR, which holds two MICHELIN stars.

The expansion of Severin*s Hotels & Resorts to include the Öschberghof follows a clear philosophy, explains the Zech Group. The brand stands for individual destinations with their own distinctive character and special charm. Like the existing locations on Sylt, in Lech and, in future, on Lake Tegernsee, the Öschberghof also combines architectural excellence, personal hospitality and an offering that goes far beyond the traditional hotel industry.

“The Öschberghof embodies everything that Severin*s Hotels & Resorts stands for: excellence, hospitality and exceptionally high standards of quality. For us, it is not simply another hotel in our portfolio, but a destination that expands the Severin*s Hotels & Resorts brand in a very natural way. Our aim is to preserve the Öschberghof’s philosophy whilst further strengthening the shared values and quality standards within the group,” says Kurt Zech, CEO of the Zech Group. The acquisition of the land and property by the Zech family foundation is intended to be a clear commitment to the Donaueschingen location and to the long-term development of the Öschberghof.
