BERLIN. From now on, the name of the Berlin Michelin-starred restaurant Bonvivant speaks for itself and no longer includes the suffix ‘Cocktail Bistro’. Behind this small change to the name lies a major process that the team is constantly driving forward. Neither the relaxed and cosy bistro atmosphere in the modern Michelin-starred restaurant, nor the finely crafted cocktails that have established themselves as the perfect accompaniment to the menu, needed an exclamation mark to win people over, the restaurant states. At Bonvivant, it is all about the interplay of all elements to give guests an unforgettable experience.

The path the team has taken so far, driven by creativity and a spirit of innovation, has brought about many changes. Whether it is the fact that the once vegetarian cuisine is now entirely vegan, that sustainability consistently sets the direction, or that the cocktails now impress as non-alcoholic versions before being created as alcoholic variants. The kitchen, bar and service form a single unit, just as the menu and cocktails complement each other to create something truly special. Every single step taken in recent years has led to Bonvivant now impressing with superb taste, inventiveness and climate-friendliness. For this, the team has been awarded a Michelin star. At the same time, the renowned restaurant guide also recognised the restaurant’s exemplary philosophy regarding environmental protection and resource conservation with a Green Star

“With the name change, we are putting the spotlight on the things that matter to us,” says owner Jules Winnfield, “these are our core values such as sustainability, our vegan focus, social interaction and the general desire to champion the gastronomy of the future.” Under the name Bonvivant, the team will continue on this path. “Nothing is set in stone here,” emphasises Winnfield, “we are constantly working to create new moments of enjoyment that surprise and invite guests to linger – sustainable, forward-thinking and revolutionary: the highest quality and without dogma.”

Bonvivant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 6.00 pm and for brunch Friday to Sunday from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm. The restaurant has 34 seats; the bar can seat ten people and the high tables 16, whilst the lounge area accommodates 20 guests. There is also an outdoor terrace with 56 seats. For special events and larger dinner parties, an additional room with a large, round wooden table and the new Studio 32 are available. Reservations can be made by telephone on +49 (0) 176-61722602 or by email to info@bonvivant.berlin.
