Forum member MacClaus writes: “You ring the doorbell, take the lift to the third floor – and step into this spacious, open-plan loft setting. The interior, made of concrete, steel and glass, remains as impressive as ever, complemented by the view over the Port of Hamburg, the bridges over the Elbe and – somewhat less charmingly – the derelict Elbtower. The focal point is the open-plan kitchen, surrounded by tables arranged in a circle. I’m sitting in the set-menu restaurant at lunchtime today and have a direct view of Thomas Imbusch and his five-strong team, who are working intently on the dishes. To accompany a non-alcoholic aperitif, I order a four-course meal…” (Published in November 2025)
