Outdoor season
The terraces at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten are now open
HAMBURG. Spring is just around the corner and the first cherry blossoms are appearing around the Binnenalster. Since the beginning of April, the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten has kicked off the 2026 outdoor season with its four terraces and lounge areas.
The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is renowned for its culinary diversity, so it comes as no surprise that a number of new features await guests again this year. The range of outdoor spaces, situated directly on the popular Binnenalster, has continued to expand since last year following the redesign of the Neuer Jungfernstieg. The “GRILL” restaurant, much loved by Hamburg locals, is reopening its newly designed outdoor area on the “Neuer Jungfernstieg” promenade for the Easter weekend. There, in an atmosphere reminiscent of Parisian cafés, guests can enjoy a selection from the menu, featuring popular GRILL classics, regional fish and meat dishes, and culinary treats. Here, as in the restaurant itself, the experience is rounded off with special cocktails and an extensive wine list from the restaurant’s own cellar.
DECK4, situated opposite the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten directly on the Binnenalster, offers a culinary experience in a maritime setting. The cuisine combines high-quality Hanseatic tradition with international influences, focusing on first-class ingredients and creative compositions. Dishes such as the lobster roll and seafood linguine, accompanied by a carefully curated selection of wines, make lunch in a sunny atmosphere a special treat. In the evening, innovative cocktail creations and exquisite champagne round off the offering, creating the perfect setting for stylish moments.
During its regular opening hours, the Condi Lounge also serves a diverse selection of savoury delicacies and fine desserts from its in-house patisserie, all enjoyed in the sunshine. For guests of the Japanese-Peruvian NIKKEI NINE, the Condi Lounge terrace offers an exclusive lounge area in the evenings from June onwards. With views of the bustling city and the lights around the Binnenalster, it is the perfect spot for a special summer evening. “For our guests and the people of Hamburg, our hotel is a special place in every season, but it is during the summer months in particular that everyone is drawn outdoors. I am therefore all the more delighted that we are opening no fewer than four terraces again this year, allowing guests to enjoy the diverse cuisine of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in a summery atmosphere,” says Managing Director Ingo C. Peters.
A highlight and a little insider tip is the rooftop terrace on the hotel’s 6th floor. Over a glass of champagne or a cocktail, the view over the rooftops of Hamburg offers a very special atmosphere and a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether in beach chairs or cosy lounge areas, guests can choose from an extensive drinks menu and a selection of culinary delights. The perfect way to cool down on warm summer days can be found right outside the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in the form of an Italian ice cream van. Homemade ice cream creations and a variety of toppings for young and old alike are the perfect culinary accompaniment for a stroll around the Alster or through the city. The terraces at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten offer unique options to suit every taste and occasion and are open daily from April to October, weather permitting.
