The O'Room on Usedom abandons its ambition to earn stars

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Restaurant will continue in a different form

HERINGSDORF. The O'Room restaurant has abandoned its ambitions to earn a Michelin star. According to its website, it will take on a new form in the future. It will be used as a pop-up restaurant. Claudio Mazzucato has been cooking Italian cuisine there since 1 February.

Chef André Kähler, who took over from Tom Wickboldt in 2019, will continue to serve as head chef, according to the announcement. However, he wants to expand the events side of the business.

The restaurant had been awarded one star continuously since 2018.
