restaurant review
I Tenerumi, Vulcano
"This evening, as with the two other restaurant visits, it becomes apparent that fine dining in Italy is apparently a quicker affair than in Germany. Exactly two hours pass from the first greetings to the final course. That's eight minutes per course, which seems a bit rushed to us. As for the food itself, however, we can't complain. What is served here under the heading "vegetables" is remarkable. It is pickled, fermented, dried and, of course, freshly prepared according to all the rules of the art in order to showcase the products in all their diversity. And, incidentally, most of it is also grown in-house. It therefore seems right to keep the complexity of the creations to a minimum and to treat the products and their flavours in a rather purist manner." (Published in September 2025)

"Very good, but not a culinary experience in a league of its own."
