JUWEL gets a fresh start

New offer for gourmets from 1 April 2026

SCHIRGISWALDE-KIRSCHAU. The hotel will reopen its JUWEL restaurant on 1 April, offering gourmets a new concept. According to a statement from the hotel, it aims to impress with regional and sustainable cuisine without pretension.

"We have rethought our JUWEL cuisine. In future, we want to inspire our guests with sustainability and regionality, uncompromising quality, precise craftsmanship and a genuine feel for the products. Less staging, more enjoyment, paired with less noise and more depth. Our new dishes are created from the conscious use of seasonal ingredients from regional producers, all of whom we know personally. This enables us not only to serve excellent regional cuisine, but also to make it a culinary experience for our guests," says hotel manager Petra Schumann, describing the new JUWEL concept. The new JUWEL will open on 1 April 2026 and will be open from Wednesday to Saturday.

"Together with my kitchen team, I have reinvented our new, old JUWEL. Special products, calm culinary precision and regional roots characterise our creations. We don't have to explain them to our guests; they can taste them," says head chef Robert Hauptvogel with confidence. JUWEL is also breaking new ground in restaurant service: the service is attentive, personal and present, but without stiff rituals or distance. It accompanies quietly and unobtrusively, without overwhelming.

The new JUWEL wine selection also follows this philosophy. It is deliberately reduced, curated and carefully compiled. Instead of overload, the focus is on personal recommendations that match the dish, the moment and individual tastes. Here, luxury is not shown in excess, but in the right measure.
"Our JUWEL has a new focus: we make no compromises when it comes to standards," explains Petra Schumann. "But we deliberately refrain from putting on airs in the kitchen and in our service. Because true luxury arises where quality, attitude and origin come together. That is our new credo with which we welcome our guests."
The JUWEL now sees itself as a place where gourmet cuisine is presented in a new way. A very special place in Kirschau for conversations, for time, for enjoyment and for evenings that are quietly loud.
