Anton Gschwendtner leaves Bayerischer Hof
München, Bayern
MUNICH. Head chef Anton Gschwendtner is leaving the two-star restaurant Atelier at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. The hotel has announced that he is leaving for personal reasons. Gschwendtner succeeded Jan Hartwig at Atelier in summer 2021. He achieved two stars there with the restaurant, having previously received the same rating at Olivo in Stuttgart.
Sous Chef Valentin Krehl, who has worked alongside Anton Gschwendtner for the past four years, will take over at Atelier. However, this is apparently only an interim solution. According to reports, the Bayerischer Hof intends to fill the head chef position on a long-term basis. The hotel has announced that it intends to maintain the quality and culinary excellence at least at the same level.
