Guide Michelin rates 52 restaurants in Saudi Arabia
(28 December 2025) - The Michelin Guide has published restaurant ratings for Saudi Arabia for the first time. However, no restaurant receives a star. Eleven are rated with a Bib Gourmand and 41 others receive a recommendation.
"Saudi Arabia is rapidly becoming a culinary destination where tradition meets global creativity," says Gwendal Poullennec , international director of the Michelin Guide. "The Michelin inspectors savoured the culinary experiences everywhere - from simple, traditional village houses to elegant, modern restaurants that celebrate contemporary design. The country's cuisine showcases a rich diversity of influences: Saudi roots combine with Levantine warmth, Peruvian flair and international sophistication. This diversity reflects a nation that is both proud of its culture and open to the world, offering surprising and exciting experiences at every turn. Saudi Arabia is not only preserving its culinary identity, but also shaping a vibrant future for its gastronomic scene."
Bib Gourmand
The Michelin Guide awards seven restaurants in Riyadh, as well as two restaurants each in Dishiddah and Al-Ula, a Bib Gourmand for good and affordable cuisine.
The Bib Gourmand restaurants in the capital Riyadh celebrate a successful blend of tradition and innovation - an award for restaurants that offer excellent value for money. The Saudi restaurant Fi Glbak, the popular breakfast restaurant Tameesa, the modern Saudi restaurant Mirzam and the Japanese restaurant KAYZO, as well as the Em Sherif Cafe, Najd Village and Sasani were honoured with the Bib Gourmand. Other recommendations in the guide include Aseeb, Benoit, Café Boulud, HOCHO, Hong, Il Baretto, Julien by Daniel Boulud, Long Chim, Lusin, Maiz, MLLE, Namu, Ovun Bistro, Robata, Rüya, Ruhi, Takya, Taleed by Michael Mina, Tanjia, Thara, The Globe at Al Faisaliah, The Rubi Room at HOCHO, Tofareya, Villa Mamas, Yokari and Yawmiyat by Dalal.
