"It's been seven months since our last visit - high time for a reunion. Parking near the restaurant? Something for the patient, the lucky or the real local - we'd rather take the underground and save ourselves the drama. Behind the simple façade of the Rhaetenhaus is JAN - an inconspicuous building in Maxvorstadt, just a few steps away from Königsplatz. We are warmly welcomed at the entrance by restaurant manager Kilian Skalet and escorted to our table. We are now so familiar with JAN that it almost feels like coming home. Lunch is now only served on Fridays - an unfortunate decision, but one that is understandable given the situation in the catering industry." (Published in July 2025)
