October update: Crossing returns to the top 100

The JAN restaurant in Munich confirms its first place in the restaurant rankings for Germany in October 2025. It has been the best restaurant in Germany since February 2025, the eighth month in a row. Jan Hartwig achieved an unchanged 140.1 points in the ranking. That is 0.5 ranking points more than the Rutz in Berlin and the Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn, which share second place.

The update takes into account 667 changes to reviews that were recorded in September 2025. Despite the loss of the German licence, the ranking still takes into account the Gault&Millau ratings, while the Henris Diamonds, which are based on a summary of the ratings of other guides, are not included in the ranking.

There is a change in the other places in the top 10: Haerlin in Hamburg has gained 0.5 points compared to the previous month, moving up to tenth place. The Table Kevin Fehling in Hamburg is now in eleventh place. The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged: Aqua in Wolfsburg remains in fourth place in the current ranking. In fifth place is Victor's Fine Dining by Christian Bau in Perl-Nennig. The Sonnora in Dreis confirms sixth place, followed by the Schanz in Piesport in seventh place. The Bareiss in Baiersbronn remains in eighth place. The ES:SENZ in Grassau achieved ninth place.

In places twelve to 18, everything remains unchanged compared to the previous month. The Ophelia in Constance improved by two places and is now ranked 19th - a new record for the restaurant. In addition, the Gouremtrestaurant Dichter in Rottach-Egern improved from 25th to 23rd place. Essigbrätlein in Nuremberg climbed three places to 32nd. The 100/200 Kitchen in Hamburg even climbed six places. The 34th place is a new record for the restaurant. Ösch Noir in Donaueschingen climbs one place to 41st place, while Intense in Wachenheim rises to 44th place after 46th place in the previous month - another new record for the restaurant.

In the Top100, the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer in Berlin climbed eight places to 53rd place. Following the change of chef, some guides have resumed their ratings. The gourmet restaurant PUR in Berchtesgaden improves to 60th place, achieving a new record for the second month in a row. La Société in Cologne also achieved a top ranking of 69th. Cédric Schwitzer's Gourmet-Restaurant in Waldbronn climbed seven places and achieved a new record of 78th place. The Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern is back in the top 100. Following the change of chef to Corinna Fischer, several guides have now rated the restaurant again and it has improved from 570th place in the ranking to 81st place. The Orangerie in Timmendorfer Strand improved by eight places to 86th place, while the Sparkling Bistro in Munich rose from 100th to 89th place - another new record for the restaurant.

A total of 4,365 restaurants are currently included in the ranking, 165 fewer than in September. Compared to the beginning of September, 541 restaurants have received a higher score or have been newly included in the ranking. Le Moissonnier Bistro in Cologne collects the most points in one month. 126 restaurants received fewer points than at the beginning of August. Inclusion in the ranking list is automatic and free of charge as soon as a restaurant is rated in one of the current restaurant guides and achieves at least 35 ranking list points.

The restaurant that has collected the most points over the past twelve months is Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern, ahead of MiZAR Fine Dining in Würzburg and Matthias in Berlin.
