Farewell
Claude Bosi at Bibendum closed
Great Britain, London
LONDON: Claude Bosi has closed his two-starred restaurant Claude Bosi at Bibendum. The restaurant closed on 25 August and the bar will close at the end of the month, the chef and his wife Lucy announced in a social media post.
Chef Claude Bosi has permanently closed his two Michelin-starred restaurant Claude Bosi at Bibendum in London after failing to find a solution with his landlords to "turn over a new leaf for the restaurant", according to the post. Existing reservations had to be cancelled. Claude and Lucy went on to explain that they were "personally committed" to opening up new opportunities for every employee within their restaurant group. The pair continue to run the two Michelin-starred Brooklands by Claude Bosi at the Peninsula London Hotel and their French bistros Josephine in Chelsea and Marylebone. The couple took over the Bibendum restaurant eight years ago. A few months later, it was awarded two stars in the Michelin Guide. "We are deeply grateful for the incredible support we have received over the years. It has been an honour to be part of the history of the Michelin House and a privilege to share this journey with you," added the Bosis.
