Prism in Berlin closes
BERLIN: The Michelin-starred restaurant Prism in Berlin is closing at the end of August. The operators, Gal Ben Moshe and Jaqueline Lorenz, have announced this on the restaurant's social media channels. "We are deeply grateful for the memories, the laughter and the countless moments we have shared over our dishes. Your support has been at the heart of Prism, and it's been an honour to cook for you. Over the past seven years, we've poured everything into this restaurant. And while we cannot deny that we have enjoyed our success and celebrated every award we have received, the truth is that we are exhausted," the statement reads. It has become increasingly difficult to run an upscale restaurant over time. "We pushed ourselves, took on more and more and committed to new projects to keep our dream alive at Prism, but it became overwhelming. We didn't give up without giving it our best shot."
As the Israeli website Ynet also reports, Gal Ben Moshe is continuing his career in Prague. A hotel group offered him a job there four months ago, which entailed an immense workload. He now wants to concentrate on this new challenge for family reasons, Falstaff also reports.
