Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin opens brasserie
STUTTGART: The Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin is ushering in a new culinary era: The former hotel restaurant Zeppelino'S is undergoing a conceptual and design reorganisation. From 24 July, La Brasserie Restaurant & Bar will reopen its doors - a gastronomic concept that interprets classic French brasserie cuisine with a great deal of sophistication. In addition to a new culinary direction, a visual refresh, a stylish lighting concept and a specially developed sound design will contribute to the atmospheric ambience of the new meeting place.
Inspired by great role models such as the famous Brasserie Lipp in Paris, the new culinary concept is not only aimed at hotel guests, but also at Stuttgart residents and visitors from the region who appreciate French brasserie cuisine at its best.
The menu includes French classics such as entrecôte of Charolais beef with pommes allumettes, liver pâté with cranberries, duck breast with orange sauce and a traditional onion soup. The dessert selection is also characterised by French cuisine: the baba au rhum and the generously layered millefeuille with vanilla cream and salted caramel ice cream in particular testify to the high level of craftsmanship and passion for sweets.
The culinary experience is complemented by a stylish, newly designed bar and terrace area that invites you to savour and relax.
Georgios Papagiannis: creative head of the new brasserie
Hotel director Stefan Schär has brought experienced chef Georgios Papagiannis on board for the culinary realisation. The 34-year-old Greek-born chef has made a name for himself over the past eight years at the neighbouring lifestyle hotel Jaz in the City Stuttgart and played a key role in shaping the gastronomic concept of the Rhythms Bar & Kitchen restaurant there.
Papagiannis left nothing to chance when preparing for his new role: he personally visited and analysed the most renowned brasseries in Paris on several study trips. He also completed training courses with leading experts in their field - including the renowned pâtissier Christophe Adam, the "Éclair Pope" of L'Éclair de Génie.
With La Brasserie Restaurant & Bar, Papagiannis now brings his love of French cuisine and his precision to the plate - interpreted in a modern way, but always with respect for tradition.
