New project

Andreas Caminada takes over Restaurant Buech

Switzerland

Traditional house above Lake Zurich to be further developed

HERRLIBERG A new chapter is about to begin at the well-known Buech restaurant in Herrliberg: from November 2025, Andreas Caminada will be introducing his culinary signature and implementing a fresh overall concept there. The traditional establishment above Lake Zurich is part of The Living Circle and will now be curated by partner company Caminada Group , which is an important step for both companies for the future together.

"Restaurant Buech is a place with a long history and great potential. It is a special task for my team and me to help shape and develop this establishment in the future," says Andreas Caminada. The new concept is the result of a three-year partnership between The Living Circle hotel group and the Caminada Group. Marco Zanolari, CEO of The Living Circle, is looking forward to the culinary handover: "The Buech is a special place - both for guests of our Zurich hotels and for the people in the region. We are proud of the further development of the past few years and would now like to continue to showcase this unique location together with Andreas Caminada and his team. They bring with them the expertise and experience that will take the hotel forward. Thanks to the close collaboration between the Caminada Group and The Living Circle, the Buech will remain in the family."

Culinary development with respect for what already exists

The Buech has been successfully managed by The Living Circle since 2017. The restaurant's positioning will remain the same. "We are not planning a fine dining concept," emphasises Caminada. "But we want to create a place for a pleasurable experience through new culinary accents, a modernisation of the guest experience and the addition of an Atelier Caminada concept in the adjacent building." In terms of price, the offer is also aimed at the same clientele as before. "The special charm of the Buech comes from the surrounding farms on the Pfannenstiel. These are ideal conditions for regional and seasonal cuisine," continues Caminada.

The future team will be made up of members of the existing team and the Caminada Group. "The reorganisation offers a valuable opportunity to create something new together with team spirit and fresh ideas," says Caminada. The Buech will be closed briefly between the end of October and mid-November to carry out gentle renovation work.
