Guide Michelin 2025
New star in Poland
Michelin Guide rates 108 restaurants in Poland
(15 June 2025) - The Michelin Guide has published its restaurant ratings for Poland for the year 2025. For the first time, restaurants in the city of Wrocław are also included. Restaurants in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań and the Pomorskie region are also included in the selection. A total of 108 restaurants are rated. One receives a star for the first time, bringing the total number of starred restaurants to seven, and locals and visitors looking for affordable yet high-quality dining options will be delighted with the addition of seven more Bib Gourmands to the selection.
"I am thrilled that the Michelin Guide's selection for Poland has once again expanded to include the dynamic and architecturally stunning city of Wrocław. Here, our inspectors found a variety of restaurants to recommend to our readers, including three that deserve a Bib Gourmand," comments Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Guides. "Across Poland, the inspectors were impressed by the speed at which Polish cuisine is evolving. A new generation of chefs are showing their pride in Polish ingredients as they continue to develop the country's cooking style - all with an infectiously positive attitude. Finally, I am thrilled that Poland has another MICHELIN-starred restaurant, which is great news for the country's entire restaurant industry."
Two stars
For the third year running, Bottiglieria 1881 in Kraków has been awarded two stars, cementing its position as Poland's best restaurant. Bold flavours and highly original dishes make the food here an absolute delight according to the inspectors - fully deserving of another year of two stars.
One star
The hub.praga in Warsaw receives one star. Chef and owner Witek Iwański's restaurant fully deserves this award due to the enormous attention to detail and impeccable culinary technique in all dishes. Excellent natural ingredients form the basis of the kitchen's success, but the kitchen team manages to enhance them further with first-class sauces and a capacity for intense flavours, while each dish harmonises perfectly. The inspectors were particularly impressed by the outstanding homemade breads, the signature dish Polish Crayfish Royale and the butter ice cream with salted caramel.
There are now six restaurants in Poland with one star, as all of the following restaurants have deservedly retained their awards: Arco by Paco Pérez in Gdańsk, Giewont in Kościelisko, Muga in Poznań as well as NUTA and Rozbrat 20 in Warsaw.
Seven new Bib Gourmands
In addition to the new MICHELIN stars and the Green Star, seven new Bib Gourmands have been announced for Poland. Named after Bibendum, the official name of the Michelin Man, the Bib Gourmand is an award for restaurants that offer high quality cuisine at a great price. This year's selection is excellent news for those who want to enjoy wonderful food without having to dig deep into their pockets.
Three of this year's new Bib Gourmands are part of our first selection for Wrocław. In the city centre, BABA is the perfect place for a lively evening out. Delicious natural flavours come through in every dish, while the cheerful service adds to the wonderful atmosphere. Just a short walk away, IDAkuchnia i wino proves what can be achieved with simplicity and restraint. With skilful technique and fine ingredients, the chefs extract satisfying flavours from even the simplest dishes. To the east of the city, Tarasowa offers an attractive location opposite the multimedia fountain in Wrocław and its impressive displays. The boldly flavoured but finely balanced dishes ensure that the food does the location justice.
In Kraków, NOAH has received a Bib Gourmand for its delicious Israeli cuisine, which offers great value for money. Even the simplest dishes are convincing, such as the classic homemade pita glazed with oil and sea salt. About two hours further south, in Zakopane, near the Slovakian border, Stary Niedźwiedź has also become part of the "Bib" family, thanks to its menu of first-class, skilfully prepared ingredients that don't cost the earth. Its location near the foot of the Tatra Mountains adds to the experience.
Poznań now has a fourth Bib Gourmand, with Posto in the Jeżyce district. The menu here revolves around traditional French gastronomy, with timeless favourites such as pâté en croute, executed with skill and generosity. Finally, the capital city of Warsaw - which never lags behind - also has a new bib gourmand in the form of Wyraj. A distinctive and fascinating place that draws inspiration from ancient Slavic mythology, with flavourful traditional dishes and a cosy atmosphere.
14 of Poland's existing Bib Gourmands have retained their awards: Hewelke and Treinta y Tres in Gdańsk; Folga and MOLÁM in Kraków; Fromażeria, SPOT. and TU.REStAURANT in Poznań; 1911 Restaurant and Vinissimo in Sopot; as well as Ceviche Bar, Kieliszki na Próżnej, Koneser Grill, kontakt and Le Braci in Warsaw, bringing the total number of Bib Gourmands in Poland to 21.
Eliksir retains its green star
The green star recognises restaurants that are at the forefront of the industry when it comes to mindful practices - restaurants that combine culinary excellence with initiatives to reduce their overall impact on the natural world. These restaurants are a source of inspiration for both avid foodies and the hospitality industry as a whole. Last year, Eliksir in Gdańsk became the first restaurant in Poland to be awarded a green star, and now the team has retained this honour for another year. A low-waste philosophy and local produce are the key elements that make the restaurant's approach to gastronomy so impressive.
Special awards
This year, in addition to the new stars and Bib Gourmands, four special prizes were awarded to exceptional individuals and teams who have particularly impressed the MICHELIN Guide inspectors over the past year.
- MICHELIN Opening of the Year Award: Sztuczka, Gdańsk: After 10 years working in Gdynia, experienced chef and owner Rafał Wałęsa decided to move to the coast in Gdańsk - and what a success it was. Located opposite the impressive architecture of the World War II Museum, Sztuczka is a stylish, comfortable and well-run restaurant. Wałęsa's dishes are based on his technical ability to fuse classic French influences with those from Poland. The inspectors loved not only the cuisine and elegant restaurant design, but also the welcoming service, which is well paced and understandably proud - Sztuczka was a natural choice for opening of the year.
- MICHELIN Young Chef Award: Adriana Wójcikowska from Vamos!, Kraków: It takes conviction, courage and an abundance of entrepreneurial spirit to open your own restaurant. Fortunately, Adriana Wójcikowska fulfils all these criteria and has made Vamos! very successful as a chef and restaurateur. A simply decorated but bright and fresh bistro, it offers a great atmosphere and authentic, dedicated service that goes hand in hand with Wójcikowska's impressive Mediterranean cuisine. Fresh and flavourful dishes show off her deft touch, with Italian classics such as tiramisu masterfully executed. The MICHELIN Guide inspectors were particularly impressed by the fantastic focaccia.
- MICHELIN Service Award: Beata Śniechowska from BABA & Młoda Polska, Wrocław: A key figure in Wrocław's catering scene, Beata Śniechowska is someone who can do a bit of everything. As a chef in particular, she has brought not one, but two restaurants into our first Wrocław selection, Młoda Polska and the Bib Gourmand-winning BABA. But even when she's in the kitchen, she keeps an eye on service and ensures that her teams create a warm, welcoming environment for guests. At BABA, where she mainly works, the service exudes an easy charm, with Śniechowska even serving some dishes herself. At Młoda Polska, too, you immediately feel at ease with the confident and knowledgeable team. It's great to see a chef who recognises the importance of good service and makes it a priority in her restaurants.
- MICHELIN Sommelier Award: Jan Winiarski & Aleksandra Harabasz from Dyletanci, Warsaw: Most restaurants dream of having one great sommelier; Dyletanci has two! During our inspectors' visits to this lovely Warsaw restaurant, they received exceptional wine service from both Sommelier/General Manager Jan Winiarski and Assistant Head Sommelier Aleksandra Harabasz. Winiarski is such a generous and helpful presence, offering half glasses and tastings of wines while helping his guests make up their minds. The hugely knowledgeable Harabasz is equally dedicated, a certified trainer for WSET and even has her own wine company, nowofalowi ('new wave'). Together they oversee a great wine list with a particularly strong selection of Burgundies.
