"The three hours flew by. They included exquisite courses such as the hake, the wasabi langoustine and the suckling pig's leg of ice cream. Unfortunately, the excitement waned considerably at the sweet finish and moved in the direction of any mainstream patisserie. The service brigade acted casually and charmingly in the packed restaurant, although the timing between courses was too brisk. Whether 30th place as the best German restaurant on the 2024 list of The World's 50 Best Restaurants is justified is for each guest to find out for themselves. Personally, I think the selection process for this list is nonsense, to put it mildly." (Published in March 2025)
