Schwarzenstein Castle celebrates its 20th anniversary

GEISENHEIM: Hotel Burg Schwarzenstein is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A place where history meets modern lightness, great wines meet grounded cuisine, elegant hospitality meets relaxed seclusion. The anniversary year also marks the start of a culinary calendar that gets to the heart of enjoyment: personally curated, deeply rooted in the region - and yet cosmopolitan. In March, the culinary year was opened in style with a top-class Bordeaux menu. This was followed at the end of April by "Bauer trifft Burg", an evening that puts Rheingau producers in the spotlight: honest, creative, surprising. The public holiday lunch on the panoramic terrace at the beginning of May marks the start of the outdoor season - with a view over the sea of vines as far as the horizon.

In May, the asparagus season returns to Burg Schwarzenstein - traditionally celebrated in the castle restaurant, creatively staged in fine dining. A tribute to what grows right on the doorstep, accompanied by selected wines and light spring cuisine. Mother's Day on 11 May is the first emotional highlight: a day for those close to your heart, designed with great sensitivity - from brunch under the magnificent magnolia tree to an enjoyable evening for two. Giving time here means giving memories. New taste horizons open up on 16 June. This is when the Burg Schwarzenstein kitchen team meets the biodynamic wine art of the renowned Peter Jakob Kühn winery - an evening that combines craftsmanship, attitude and enjoyment. At the same time, the gourmet weeks in the castle restaurant invite you to enjoy weekly changing menus - inspired by regional specialities and full of summery lightness: Mediterranean flavours, aromatic herbs, perfectly matured Rieslings - uncomplicated yet refined.

Another highlight in June is the summer wine tasting, where the in-house sommelier and guest winemakers invite you on a journey of discovery through the diversity of the Rheingau region. In the golden evening light, small delicacies from the kitchen are served on the castle terrace, finely matched to the wines presented. And finally: the Rheingau Music Festival. When summer arrives, Burg Schwarzenstein is transformed into a place full of sound, enjoyment and encounters. Concert evenings, dinner events, inspiring company - a lively interplay of culinary delights and culture. As a result, Burg Schwarzenstein has become a fixture for gourmets, music lovers and the style-conscious.
