BERLIN The time has finally come: Berlin's best-known top chef Tim Raue will open the Sphere Tim Raue restaurant in Berlin's TV tower at the beginning of June 2025. The exact date will be announced by mid-May at the latest - from then on, guests can also reserve a table at www.tvturm.de. The opening of the new restaurant marks the crowning glory of the comprehensive refurbishment of Germany's tallest building at 368 metres - a process that has been implemented step by step since 2020. Following the remodelling of the foyer, the introduction of digital experiences and the renovation of the Sphere Bar, the new restaurant is now the highlight of the TV tower's overall concept.

"The TV Tower is Berlin's landmark - for me as a Berliner, it is a matter close to my heart to design this place in culinary terms and thus unite East and West on the plate," says Tim Raue. His concept: modern Berlin-Brandenburg cuisine, inspired by Raue's typical flavours of sweetness, acidity and spiciness. From breakfast with sandwiches and homemade granola to solyanka and vegan goulash from planted steak to classics such as Berliner Schnitzel, Königsberger Klopse or banana split, the restaurant offers an all-day journey through the region. The ingredients are mainly sourced from producers in Berlin and Brandenburg. The drinks menu also focuses on regionality and presents specialities from the surrounding area as well as exclusively German beers and (sparkling) wines.

The culinary experience is rounded off by a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the capital - and beyond: the restaurant rotates on its own axis twice an hour. With over 1.2 million visitors a year, the Berlin TV Tower is one of the city's most popular attractions. The new gastronomic orientation underlines the claim not only to inspire international guests, but also to invite Berliners and Brandenburgers to celebrate special moments at lofty heights. Until the official opening, a visit to the Sphere Bar at a height of 203 metres is worthwhile: there, guests can already enjoy the view with regionally inspired specialities and innovative beer cocktails. Up-to-date information and tickets for "BERLINʼS ODYSSEY", access to the viewing platform and future restaurant visits are available on the website www.tv-turm.de.
