Farewell
Mural Farmhouse closes
MUNICH. The Michelin-starred restaurant Mural Farmhouse in the Hotel Wunderlocke is only open until the end of May. The contract with the Locke Hotels is coming to an end, "we have to get out of the location. That's just how (catering) life works sometimes," says the Mural Farmhouse newsletter. As previously reported, Head Chef Timo Fritsche is leaving the company to take up a new position in Düsseldorf and Head Chef Maximilian Huber is moving to Switzerland in May. Both started at Mural Farmhouse in November 2023. Rico Birndt was previously Head Chef there. Under his leadership, the restaurant was awarded a star in the Michelin Guide for the first time in 2023, which was also supplemented with a green star for sustainability. The restaurant has since confirmed this rating. The concept of the Mural Farmhouse centres on strict product cuisine with a focus on locality and regionality. At the beginning of the year, the fine dining offer and the deli had already been merged.
Until it closes, the Mural Farmhouse will be open from Thursdays to Saturdays and will offer a chef's choice menu for 69 euros. There will also be some specials with guest chefs in April. The Bambule Pasta Bar in the Schwan Locke Hotel is also closing. However, the Mural Bar and the Michelin-starred restaurant Mural in Munich city centre will continue to operate without any changes.

"Edip Sigl certainly does a very good job of combining regional produce and ingredients from all over the world to create a cohesive whole."
