Tanja Grandits takes over the keys in Oberwil
BASEL. A planned extension to Tanja Grandits' two-star restaurant Stucki has been postponed. Construction cannot start this year, according to the restaurant's newsletter. "A few appeals have been received following the building permit. We are taking the time to make the necessary clarifications so that the project can be driven forward with the best possible planning and in a consensus-orientated manner. This is why there is a delay in the course of the project." However, Tanja Grandits wants to stick with the project. The extension will provide new premises for employees, a training kitchen, extended storage facilities and a factory for the company's own products. This is necessary in order to optimise working conditions and implement necessary renovations.
Tanja Grandits had originally planned to use the Schlüssel restaurant in Oberwil as an alternative location, but the tenant couple, Sandra Marugg and Felix Suter, will be leaving the property at the end of April 2025. Tanja Grandits is now examining new options and concepts to continue running the Schlüssel alongside the Stucki.
From 1 to 30 April, there will also be a pop-up by Tanja Grandits at Nadelberg 21 in Basel's Old Town. The concept store will offer products from her food range, colourful tulips from the Mathis farm, fresh herbs, wines from the Klus 177 vineyard and Easter bunnies from chef pâtissier Julien Duvernay.
