Concept change

Yoso reopens

Rheinland-Pfalz

The restaurant in Andernach will be offering "Asian comfort food" from mid-February

ANDERNACH. YOSO is reopening with a familiar look but a new concept. From 21 February 2025, the fine dining restaurant PURS will bring the diversity of Asian comfort food to Andernach with "YOSO - Asian Comfort Food" - with the unmistakable signature of Peter Fridén, head chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant PURS and YOSO.

In future, YOSO - Asian Comfort Food will combine traditional dishes with the latest trends in street food culture from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore. Familiar flavours will surprise diners at YOSO in unusual combinations. From the popular bao buns from Taiwan to dim sum, ramen variations and Korean pocha food culture - the restaurant presents a variety of dishes in new interpretations, which can be enjoyed in several courses to share or individually in a relaxed atmosphere. Peter Fridén places particular emphasis on the variety of preparation methods at YOSO: raw, steamed, boiled, grilled, deep-fried or marinated. Asian cuisine offers almost limitless creative possibilities, which are skilfully realised at YOSO. The culinary experience is accompanied by a carefully selected range of drinks, including Asian beers and a simple wine bar model.

"With the new YOSO - Asian Comfort Food concept, we are building a bridge to our PURS Luxury Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, whose overall concept is dedicated to the philosophy of wabi-sabi. We see the new YOSO as a complement to our Michelin-starred restaurant PURS New Nordic Japanese Cuisine - here we offer a fine dining experience, while YOSO stands for authenticity and affordable food in a casual environment. We look forward to inspiring not only our hotel guests with the new concept, but also people from Andernach and the surrounding area," emphasises Gerhard Pohl, Managing Director of PURS Fine Hotels & Restaurants.

Opening hours and take-away service

YOSO is open from Friday to Tuesday from 6 pm (Wednesday and Thursday are closed days). On Sundays, the restaurant offers a special lunch special from 12 noon. In addition, a take-away service is available from 5 pm on all opening days, allowing guests to enjoy the culinary highlights at home.
