New head chef at Eatrinalin
RUST. The Eatrinalin has a new head chef: award-winning top chef Alexander Mayer is now responsible for the cuisine at this extraordinary gastronomic experience. After training as a cuisinier with French star chef Jean-Claude Bourgueil in his restaurant "Im Schiffchen" in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth, Alexander Mayer cooked in various positions in some of the best restaurants and hotels in Germany. Mayer achieved his first successes, such as 16 Gault&Millau points and 7 pans in the Gusto gourmet guide, as head chef in the Wintergarten restaurant at the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden. Most recently, Mayer was responsible for the kitchen at the Atlantic Restaurant in the eponymous Grand Hotel on Hamburg's Outer Alster Lake. Under his management, the restaurant was awarded a star in the Michelin Guide, and the trade magazine "Der Feinschmecker" also named Alexander Mayer "Chef of the Month May 2024".
The new Head Chef was very interested in the new fine dining experience right from the start. "I have been following the development of Eatrenalin with enthusiasm since it opened and have always been fascinated by the innovative and unique overall concept. When I heard about the planned change at the head of the kitchen brigade, I didn't hesitate for a moment to seize this special opportunity. I am very grateful for the trust placed in me by the management and am ready to create new culinary experiences for our many international guests together with a highly motivated team in the kitchen and service," says Alexander Mayer.
Eatrenalin combines top gastronomic performance with an impressive interplay of visual, acoustic and haptic impressions - all the senses are touched. The first-class eight-course menu, which offers a choice of meat, vegetarian or vegan creations, combines modern and international influences to match the ambience of the various culinary spheres.
Thomas Mack, Managing Director of Eatrenalin and Managing Partner of Europa-Park, is also delighted with the new addition from Hamburg: "My heartfelt thanks go to the previous Head Chefs Juliana Clementz and Ties van Oosten for their commitment and inspiring creations over the past two years. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Alexander Mayer - with him, guests can expect an innovative menu that combines classic elegance with modern sophistication. We are looking forward to new extraordinary flavour experiences and our culinary journey together!"
The new Head Chef will lead the gastronomic team with immediate effect, and guests can look forward to a completely revised menu with his signature flavours from the end of March. "I want to inspire our fine dining lovers, create wow effects and realise culinary dreams. Our aim is to exceed all expectations and surprise them again and again," says Mayer, who focuses on French classics with a modern style and Asian influences. The first "Eatrenalin Chef's Special" will also be held in May - a culinary journey by Head Chef Alexander Mayer. During the experience, guests can enjoy an innovative 8-course menu, complemented by seasonal highlights such as asparagus and strawberries. The Head Chef will personally welcome his guests and provide fascinating insights into his creations. The gourmet journey will be framed by varied entertainment and the beats of the DJ in the stylish Eatrenalin Bar.
