Restaurant review
L'Epuisette, Marseille
France, Marseille, Forum
"L'Epuisette offers a solid one-star service. Apart from one or two minor details, all the dishes are very well prepared, the flavour compositions are harmonious and not particularly complicated. In view of the good quality of the local fish, vegetables and herbs, the reduction achieves clarity of flavour. I would like to emphasise the pleasant atmosphere with the view of the sea. The wine list also delights us with some wines that are no longer available in Germany, or if they are, then not at this price. It was recently announced that L'Epuissette is getting new owners. Following a refurbishment, Coline Faulquier, the former head chef of the local restaurant, Signature, will be cooking at the traditional address in 2025 - much to the annoyance of the existing team. The excellent location and atmosphere should at least be preserved ..." (Published in November 2024)
