"Until now, the popular excursion and holiday region of Chiemgau has offered no venues for the ultimate in culinary delights. That changed in summer 2021 when the es:senz restaurant opened in the hotel. Just one year later, the restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars and in spring 2024 even three stars. Alongside JAN in Munich, es:senz is now the second three-star restaurant in Bavaria, making Chiemgau the top address for gourmets once again. I initially stumbled over the unusual name of the restaurant. However, the answer is simple: the spelling emphasises the initials of the chef Edip Sigl with the first two letters. I had already experienced his culinary skills at the Munich restaurant Les Deux, where he won two Michelin stars. Even then, Sigl showed the potential for higher honours ..."
