Field concentrates on the gourmet offer
LÜCHOW. Two become one: Restaurant Field has been offering a new concept since January 2025. Head chef Salvatore Fontanazza has given up the second restaurant, Bistro Field, which offered simple dishes and snacks, in order to concentrate fully on gourmet cuisine with his team. The team works with great passion and ambition to achieve a Michelin star.
"We always had problems focussing on two menus and wanted to give our guests the option of ordering a quick and simple dish. But the kitchen was always under pressure to give its best on both fronts. You have to have fun at work and that's what we have when developing and preparing our gourmet dishes," says Salvatore Fontanazza. In order to continue to offer guests a free choice of dishes, he has decided to offer gourmet à la carte dishes in addition to the seasonal, cosmopolitan "Experience" menu in the Field restaurant.
The head chef originally comes from Italy and applies his many years of experience in fine dining and traditional Italian cuisine to his à la carte dishes. The new evening menu offers culinary highlights at star level. The Field is a small casual fine dining restaurant in beautiful Wendland and offers space for 25 people and a pleasant, intimate atmosphere. It is characterised by its warm tones, which invite you to relax without a dress code, while the open kitchen provides a glimpse into what is happening in the kitchen.
