Young Restaurateurs
Two gourmet events for a good cause
Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Jeunes Restaurateurs
On 16 February 2025, the Jeunes Restaurateurs Deutschland (JRE) will set an example for social commitment in top gastronomy: with two parallel charity events - the JRE & Friends Charity Kitchen Party in the historic "La Redoute" in Bonn and the JRE & Friends Charity Gourmet Party in the "Phoenixhalle im Römerkastell" in Stuttgart - they are continuing the success story of their charitable JRE Germany Foundation. Following the premiere of the JRE & Friends Kitchen Party 2024 in Bonn, JRE-Deutschland is now expanding its commitment to two cities. A total of 13 members of the association, renowned winemakers and selected partners will provide exceptional culinary experiences that offer guests the opportunity to spend an enjoyable Sunday doing good. The net proceeds from both events will go directly to projects of the JRE-Deutschland Foundation, which campaigns for greater nutritional awareness among children and young people.
JRE & Friends Charity Kitchen Party in Bonn
In Bonn, "La Redoute" will be transformed into a paradise for gourmets. Under the direction of top chef Matthias Pietsch ("Redüttchen", Bonn), top chefs such as JRE Germany President Oliver Röder ("Burg Flamersheim", Euskirchen), Christoph Schmah ("Landhaus Halferschenke", Dieblich), Maximilian Lorenz ("restaurant maximilian lorenz", Cologne), Alexander Wulf ("TROYKA", Erkelenz), Philipp Helzle ("BollAnts Spa im Park", Bad Sobernheim) and top chef Iris Bettinger ("Hotel Restaurant Reuter", Rheda-Wiedenbrück), as well as the bakery "Max Kugel", "Original Beans", a manufacturer of fine and sustainably produced chocolate, and the catering wholesaler "R express" will be serving up culinary highlights at various food stations. The offer is complemented by first-class wines from wineries such as "Meyer-Näkel" (Dernau), "Axel Bauer" (Bühl) and "Prinz Salm" (Wallhausen). DJ Nycco will provide the musical accompaniment. "There's no better way to spend a Sunday - enjoying top cuisine and doing good at the same time," says Pietsch about the event.
JRE & Friends Charity Gourmet Party in Stuttgart
At the same time, the JRE & Friends Charity Gourmet Party is taking place over 260 kilometres away in Stuttgart. Six of Baden-Württemberg's best chefs will be presenting their creations in the "Phoenixhalle im Römerkastell". They include Franz Berlin ("Berlins Krone", Bad Teinach-Zavelstein), Jason Grom ("Die Burg", Donaueschingen-Aasen), Nicolai P. Wiedmer ("Eckert", Grenzach-Wyhlen), Benjamin Maerz ("Restaurant Maerz", Bietigheim-Bissingen), Michael Oettinger ("Oettinger's Restaurant", Fellbach-Schmiden) and Markus Waibel ("fine dining RS", Salach) as well as gourmet stations from "Deutsche See Fischmanufaktur" and many more. Guests can also look forward to top wines from renowned wineries such as "Albrecht Schwegler" (Korb), "Bernhard Ellwanger" (Weinstadt), "Aldinger" (Fellbach) and "Markus Heid" (Fellbach). The event is supported by partners such as the beer brand "Dinkelacker-Schwaben Bräu" (Stuttgart), the "Manufaktur Jörg Geiger" (Schlat), which specialises in the production of sparkling apple and pear wines, "Original Beans", the coffee brand "Julius Meinl Kaffee", the sparkling wine producer "Heinz Wagner" and the "Brennerei Ziegler". DJ Pellex will provide the musical accompaniment. Magician Torsten Strotmann and cabaret artist Christoph Sonntag will also provide an entertaining supporting programme. The evening will be hosted by the well-known SWR presenter Petra Klein.
Commitment to the good cause
Both events are organised by the JRE-Deutschland Foundation, which aims to promote healthy eating, education and sustainability. "It's a great opportunity to make a difference in two places at the same time and to make a positive contribution with culinary passion," explains JRE-Deutschland President Oliver Röder. "The net proceeds will benefit projects and initiatives that raise awareness of healthy eating among children and young people."
