GRETA OTO comes to Frankfurt
FRANKFURT AM MAIN: The MHP Hotel Group has announced the name of the new restaurant at the JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt. From April 2025, "GRETA OTO" will add South American flavours to the city's culinary landscape. The concept was launched last summer with great success at the newly opened Koenigshof, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Munich. The public area of the luxury hotel in Frankfurt is currently being extensively remodelled.
A centrepiece of the new design at the JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt is an elegant, curved show staircase that connects the new bar on the ground floor with the restaurant on the first floor. This makes access even more convenient for non-hotel guests. The restaurant is named after a butterfly that is native to Central America. The "Greta Oto", known for its almost completely transparent wings, symbolises the combination of lightness and elegance that the restaurant will exude.
"With "GRETA OTO", we are bringing a refreshingly lively catering concept to Frankfurt. Our aim is to set innovative culinary accents that will inspire visitors from Frankfurt and the region as well as our hotel guests with the cuisine of Amazonia," says Michael Wagner, COO of the MHP Hotel Group. "The direct connection from the ground floor to the restaurant emphasises our aim of creating an open and inviting ambience for all guests."
South American joie de vivre in the restaurant
The redesign of the JW Marriott Frankfurt picks up on the historical significance of the location, where the gardens of the Palais Thurn und Taxis were once located. Frankfurt architects Rosen have integrated natural materials and green elements to bring nature into the interior of the hotel. The lobby on the ground floor is designed as an inviting meeting point and place to relax, while the upper floor is characterised by an expressive design.
"GRETA OTO" itself will symbolise the diversity and vibrancy of the Amazon region. Inspired by the flavours of Central and South America, dishes are prepared here using modern techniques and international influences. The restaurant combines opulent sensuality with contemporary elegance and invites guests to experience the joie de vivre of South America in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
