The Berlin restaurant Rutz continues to lead the restaurant rankings for Germany in January. The three-star restaurant has an unchanged 139.8 points, 0.2 points more than the Schwarzwaldstube in Baiersbronn, which follows in second place as in the previous month. The two had been tied at the top of the ranking since January 2024. In July 2024, the Rutz then took over the sole top position. JAN in Munich, which was still in sixth place in November, took third place for the first time. This means that the German restaurant ranking has a new top trio at the start of 2025! The update primarily takes into account new reviews that were recorded in November and December 2024.

Aqua in Wolfsburg and Sonnora in Drei, which were overtaken by JAN, are tied in fourth place. After coming fifth in November, Victor's Fine Dining by Christian Bau in Perl-Nennig is now in sixth place. It shares this position with the Schanz in Piesport, which confirms its position from the previous month. The Bareiss in Baiersbronn remains in eighth place. The Vendôme in Bergisch Gladbach confirms its ninth place ahead of The Table in Hamburg, which completes the top 10.

In the Top20, the ES:SENZ in Grassau improved from 18th to twelfth place, achieving a new record in its history. Restaurant Tim Raue in Berlin also improved on the previous year, moving up from 15th to 14th place and thus achieving its best ranking since 2022. Steinheuers Restaurant in Heppingen returns to the top 20, now back in 16th place. Lafleur in Frankfurt am Main improved by four places compared to November and is now in 20th place. Two restaurants have broken into the top 30 for the first time. These are L.A. Jordan in Deisdesheim and Louis in Saarlouis in joint 29th place on the list.

In the Top50, the Esplanade in Saarbrücken achieves a new all-time high with 33rd place. The Hamburg restaurants 100/200 in 44th place and the Lakeside in 48th place also achieved new records. The restaurants Mühle in Schluchsee (53rd place), Sein in Karlsruhe (64th place), VOTUM in Hanover (65th place), Nobelhart & Schmutzig in Berlin (72nd place), Klassenzimmer in Feldberg (75th place), Schwitzer's in Woldsbronn (86th place) and Roter Hahn in Regensburg (93rd place), which is in the top 100 for the first time ever, also achieved new bests. This also applies to the restaurant Der Zauberlehrling in Stuttgart, which achieved 96th place.

A total of 4,563 restaurants are currently listed in the ranking, 33 fewer than in November. Compared to the beginning of November, 471 restaurants have received a higher score or have been newly included in the ranking. The restaurant june in Übersee collects the most points within one month. 316 restaurants receive fewer points than at the beginning of November. Inclusion in the ranking list is automatic and free of charge as soon as a restaurant is rated in one of the current restaurant guides and achieves at least 30 ranking list points.

Zwanzig23 in Düsseldorf is the restaurant that has gained the most points compared to the January 2024 ranking, followed by Petit Amour in Hamburg and Silberstreif in Südharz.
