The sixth edition for the country recommends 23 restaurants

Stars for langouste and fleur de sel

In its sixth edition, the Michelin Guide has awarded restaurants in Serbia a star for the first time. In total, the 2025 restaurant guide recommends 23 restaurants in the country.

"Year after year, Serbia stands out for its commitment and pursuit of excellence, earning its place among the most prestigious gastronomic nations in Europe. The remarkable work done by the local culinary scene in recent years reflects a strong commitment to showcasing the country's heritage, its products and its traditions, all while pursuing an increasingly professional and conscientious approach," explains the international director of the Michelin Guide, Gwendal Poullennec.

One-star restaurants

The Langouste restaurant in Belgrade has been awarded one star. It is ideally located in the heart of the city and offers its guests a breathtaking view of the River Sava. Head chef Marko Đerić and his team offer exceptional cuisine that emphasises local production. The ingredients come from their own biodynamic garden on the outskirts of the Serbian capital and their dishes embody a deep commitment to seasonality. With international experience and culinary training in Italy, the chef offers a gastronomic offering that reflects the importance of Belgrade itself. The result? Dishes that generously and subtly highlight local flavours.

Located in the heart of Vojvodina, the Fleur de Sel restaurant in Novi Slankamen, some 60 kilometres north-east of the capital, has also been awarded its first MICHELIN star. Serbian-born chef Nikola Stojaković, who trained in France, and his team create a menu full of transalpine flavours served with great finesse. The restaurant's large windows offer guests a breathtaking view of the Danube.

The 2025 Guide selection also highlights other exciting new additions. In Novi Beograd, the modern part of the capital, GiG - a venue created by the Imperator winery - offers a unique space dedicated exclusively to wine tasting. In the kitchen, the chef creates modern, personalised dishes that are closely linked to the area and use ingredients from a biodynamic garden.

Bib Gourmand

The Guide's inspectors were also impressed by the authenticity and excellent value for money of two restaurants in Belgrade that have already been awarded a Bib Gourmand.

  • Istok : A restaurant that presents exotic dishes with flavours inspired by Southeast Asia.
  • Iva New Balkan Cuisine : A place that offers numerous locally inspired dishes with a light, modern touch, perfect for the contemporary palate.
